So in my job I work at heights and the lighting that I work on has a normal problem that the lights fill up with water. When you open them it gushes out like a waterfall. Not normally a problem but today I couldnt be bothered to cone off a public footpath as it was really quiet.. I opened up a light full of water and I heard a ladyy scream. I looked down and there she was stood under the light soaking wet. I said I was sorry and came down in my cherry picker. I got an old rag out the back of my van and started to dry her down, this made her worse. She reported me to my bosses and I have to go to her house with a bunch of flowers to apologise. ~Would you do this?

Being honest, yeah you should go.

It probably hurts your pride a little, but like you said “I couldn’t be arsed today”

We’ve all had **** days mate.

I think she has made too big a deal out of it, my firm has bought the hugest bunch of flowers you could imagine, thinking I might take a few out the bunch and give them to my wife, win win.

Lesson learnt for you. Don't take shortcuts mate.

Is this a windup lol?

Old rag?

Was it a plumbers soldering mat?

Jokes aside, you should have ONLY apologized for it.

No it happened today, I placed the rag/cloth over her head and started rubbing it dry to help her, she just started screaming and going wild. OMG I was waiting for her to call me a troll or something!!!!

We come accross people like this all the time, they are hysterical at times. Its so annoying trying to help someone then they kick you in the teeth for it.

It must have been embarrassing when your boss found out...

It reminds me of when I was in a informal meeting during summer and I couldn't be asked to go outside and buy a drink (the cafe was closed) so I decided to fill water in like a soup plastic container, so it was going fine till it accidentally slipped out of my hand in front of 50 people with water spilling everywhere! I bet after the meeting everyone said that I was a weird human being!

Go and apologise and think yourself lucky she has not yet mentioned suing you for assault. But that may follow.
