Hi, my house is pretty much maintenance free regarding painting but I do have 2 very large 5bay bay widows to the front. They face SE and are protected somewhat by the overhanging veranda roof.
Now these were in 15 years ago when I bought the property, they were joiner made in some form of Mahogany by a well respected local outfit. They are quality and still as good as new.
Ok, I need a recommendation for a paint for them, previously I have used such as Wickes Micro porous mahogany finish and several others. Now my regime is to repaint every 2 years to keep these in good nick, I don't mind that it's not a big job and is the only external paint I have to do.
But what I do expect is for the finish to be perfect fror those 2 years and not absolutely matt and peeling.
Any suggestions before I search the likes of Sadolin etc?

Cheers, ;)

Sikkens filter 7 is what I would recommend, thereafter a maintenance coat every 2 years would be fine but DO NOT sand down the filter 7 just wipe it down with a cloth and some white spirit.

If you dont use the Filter 7, use the Sikkens THB in your chosen colour. Will not flake or come off, Very light abrading and coat up every 2 years. Will last for years.
