Didnt get pics before I did the top part of the garden but was gravelled and decked round the edge, built a new retaining wall , did the base for artificial grass as it's a north facing garden so grass just died when we tried it.
Just added the posts to the end and put the deck rail in too, just need to build a gate.
Oh and find 41mm x8mm inserts for spindle spacers and fill the deck rail void.
Been in a few places today and cant find treated wood that is 41mm or 8mm depth grrrr

Hi matey.
No there garden is the same height up from the retaining wall stood on the bottom deck you cant see each other , the gardens have always been low at the houses and high at the back.
Cheers

Pics of posts and rail, top handrail was meant to be below the cut outs on the posts, but the missus decided on longer and thicker spindles , could have cut them down but she decided she wanted the rail that height ,
Grrrrrrrrr

Hi great job there, what is under your sand for the astro? Currently working on my own astro at the minute.

For my astro I want to raise the height of the ground by about 50mm. Currently have a concrete base, if I build a wooden pen around the perimeter level it of and fill with sand and compact it will be ok for astro to lay on top?

That's basically what I've done but just dont rely on sand for drainage, you still need a mot type 1 subase then sand on top, do it 50/50 25mm each and that should do.
