Deck construction

I've done a lot of research and I'm about to build a deck.

My main concern is about the supporting posts, do I really need all of them and do they have to be 600mm deep?

Hi, mine was similar and if you support the edges with posts, you can supports the middle with bricks, as long as you say it's hard, but add some posts in the middle also to be safe. even if the ground is hard, image 2 months of rain will soften it, an all that hard work for a few extra holes is not that much of a hassle!
