Deck mounted shower mixers?

... are maybe the answer to my problem.

One pair of pipes to connect, no chasing out of walls, buried pipework etc.

I don't see many though, as though there might be some drawback. What does anybody think of something like this:

As a simple way of making an over bath shower. Ideally I would want it on the long side of the bath, but if I choose a bath carefully I think some manufacturers will put the tap holes wherever I want, yes?

Thanks. I want a steel bath, maybe a bit harder to drill. But 180 mm centres looks a bit standard, so should be OK. Cheers.

masking tape lots of then mark out 180mm use starrett style hole saw not draper cheapy, when going through the enamel go fast when you hit the steel slow down abit, paint over bare metal holes with appliance touch up, Done bob's your uncle. ;)

If you aint got high pressure dont use those products there are some new ones more expensive well twice the price that will work on low pressure now. If you have high pressure they work well thats why lots of hotels use them, they are economical with water and cheap to fit.
