I have a large deck made of pressure treated softwood. Last year I applied clear Liberon Decking Oil which looked good. When pressure washing the deck a surface coating of the dried oil has lifted off. I wonder if there is any point bothering with these oils or other decking products if it just comes off when washed?

Well, I guess it's doing something when it's not being washed off?

A pressure washer will take the surface off most things, better using a plain old hose just to wash.
