Hi hope you are well, thanks in advance for your help.

I have built a deck out of the below, it says it is class 4 Tanalith E treated. I like the colour of the wood as it is.

Do I need to treat this with anything? last time i treated our other deck most of it came off in 6 months (and i prepared the heck out of it with deck cleaner, jetwash, broom) and it was a complete waste of time.

It will need it, but only do it if it has been open to the elements for at least 6 months.

Any sooner the oil/sealant/paint will just sit on top and wash off in the rain.

Before applying pressure wash the decking, leave it a day or 2 to dry out and then oil/seal/paint
