Decorating and painting my room in blue?

Hi........................,
I am moving into a new house soon and I have been thinking of using the ocean and beach theme to decorate my6 bedroom but I don't wnat a overly beach bum type of bedroom I want to use shades of blue and green. I would like a fresh feel to the room because I live in country with a hot climate. Any decoratin ideas and ideas for paint and furniture?

Old saying " blue and green should never be seen except with a colour in between"..... But its your choice anyway.
