Definition of "three core"?

Bloody hell, it's an old thread.

Yeah sorry, I stumbled across it when I searched for something. and couldn't resist the comment about cordless drill as it is so so relevant to a recent situation at work.

Look at the list of tools that an electrician deemed to be the most important for his son to start with in the industry!
 
Please note, not a single screwdriver or pair of cutters.

And technically, there is a screwdriver in there - though of distinctly limited practicality when dealing with recessed terminals, and of course, not in the least bit insulated.

I have a set of cutter like the CK ones there (but not CK), and they are the ones I use most by a long way. Granted I have others, but they are the ones I use most.


Flippancy aside, I agree that the list of tools isn't what I'd suggest as the fillings of an initial toolbox.
