Dehumidifier to dry out plaster skim?

We are having several rooms plaster skimmed (walls and ceilings). There will be the odd repair patches where plastering is deeper than skim coat. House is empty. CH rads are off ready for plastering then decoration, so no heating at moment.

We can't be there all the time to dry it out naturally by opening all doors and windows, so are thinking about hiring a de-humidifier to speed up the drying out process. Is this ok? Or will drying too quickly cause any problems?

open the loft hatch and the internal doors. On a sunny day, natural convection will take a surprising amount of airflow up.

cost is nil.

you can also use this trick if you live in a sunny area, so the house is not overpowering when you get home from work.

Nice one JohnD, that'll come in handy.

My only reservation is if there is a risk of fire it'll zip right through the house so worth double checking.
