Hello

I have Potterton Suprima 50L c2003, which has had the PCB replaced by Potterton as per known fault.

Generally been pretty reliable but recently cut out a couple of times. No obvious error code and restarted OK.

Got engineer out (HES cover) to check out, and he found valve screw on top of boiler was stuck (screwed down). He unscrewed and said this was probably the cause of lockouts.

However now it often seems to take several minutes between call-to-heat and igniting, rather than the usual few seconds. I once saw the amber flash (call to heat) persisting for several mins occasionally punctuated by amber/green flashing as though trying to ignite and failing.

Any ideas here ?

Thanks

It might be trying to light and taking some while. As long as it eventually does its not very important.

But we don't give DIY advice here on gas/combustion issues.

There may be a flame viewing window and with room lights off you could look into that and see if its sparking but not lighting. Properly set up they usually light within 1/2 second.
