Hi

tried the oven this evening on fan oven and it did not heat up (cold tea) I thought I smelt burning after it had been switched on but cannot be sure.

The thermostat light comes on, the fan turns but there is no heat.

I tried the grill that worked and then tried oven with top & bottom element and that worked, these all cut out by the thermostat.

I suspect then that it is the fan element that is at fault. These are available as spare for £35 from DeLonghi

Do I need to remove the oven to replace this or do I just unscrew the plate in the rear of the oven?

Appreciate your help

Most of the time you can unscrew the back plate inside the oven and then unscew a couple of screws holding the element in place pull the element out and disconnect the supply leads (dont drop them or you may have to take off the back of the cooker)

Make sure the power is off to the cooker first though
