depth of back boxes

When fitting back boxes to a block wall, how far do you sink each size box so the plasterer can make flush fit

depends on backbox. for 16mm (i.e light switch) you can often just screw it to the brick. for sockets, you usually need to chase the wall a bit. all depends on how thick the plaster will be. if its gettin dot n dabbed a 25mm box will often screw to the brck aswell
