Hi

Had a greenstar 28i fitted a couple of days ago.
everything seems fine except that the water from the taps is far too hot.
the stopcock is fully open, and when the tap in the bathroom sink is fully open the pressure of the water coming out splashes over the rim of the sink,so plenty of pressure.
The manual says that the water should be 55 degrees, but it is scalding hot.

Any ideas please. Thanks.

Because any customer who had employed a reputable installer would be on to them imediately there were any concerns!

They would also have checked the HW temp when they commissioned the boiler.

They might not work weekends and they might have set the water temp but customer may have altered it

I bet its barely more than 50c at the tap.

We get this all the time and ive not had one thats genuinely faulty yet.

The hot water temp is not adjustable on the greenstar junior series boiler btw.

You gotta love Tony's generalizations

55 degrees will scald btw

Most people complain water is tto cold from a combi, be greatful.

A 28kw boiler will heat a basin tap up for its step temp easily. Is the bath temperature correct (measure the flow to 11ish l/min and see what the temperature difference is over the cold water temperature.
