feed back on completion of diaphram, some great tips of everybody who replied, especially the 90 degree screwdriver, worked a treat. Still had to remove filling loop and water to water heat exchanger, but once they were removed it was straight forward. its a pity i did,nt listen to all the advice about the isolation valves on flow and return, turned off the flow and guess what, you guessed started leaking so i left the others. Drained the system a little, but then when i come to removing the filling loop i got a nice surprise, an early cold shower because worrying about turning the rest of the isolation valves of i stupidly left this open, managed to turn it of after riding in on the waves! when i filled system back up it kept sparking up then going back off, after about 15 mins it stayed on, working ok now, i take it it was because it was full of air. Any feed back would be great.

The only hope you have got of the isolation valves not leaking is dumping all the pressure first, still not something I ever do though.

Sounds like it did have to clear a bit of air. The AAVs on these get blocked, i usually change them while im there if ive got the CDi drained down.
