I recently had this problem and posted this http://www.diynot.com/forums/automotive-repairs/diesel-seat-cutting-out.299107/

Garage replaced mass air flow part and now the car is running much better but it started doing something else.

When I'm driving along and accelerate and it gets up to 2500 revs the engine will sort of jolt/judder/kangaroo. As long as I keep it under 2500 revs you would think the car is running lovely. The warmer it is the less it does it.

We thought injectors but then decided it would do it all the time if it was that.

Any ideas anyone?

No, engine management light doesn't come on. Been put back on the diagnostic machine at the garage and that says no faults so we're at a bit of a loss as to what to do.

Just check the crankshaft sensor or replace with a good one to see if the problem goes with the sensor.

We had a crankshaft sensor getting wet from a faulty water pump and gave exactly the symptoms you describe.
