difference in buttons

Sorry to hi-jack, just wondering what's the difference between pressing "Prt Scr" and "ctrl"+"Prt Scr"?

Print screen will print the screen to the default printer. Ctrl + print screen copies it to the clipboard.

new one to me

print screen will copy the entire screen to clipboard, alt/print screen will copy the active window, never come accross ctrl/print screen before - doesnt seem to do anyting apart from ignore the ctrl key
