Different Suprima Fault

Hi, ploughed through most of the posts re Potterton Suprimas but can't see my problem listed (already had new board re lockout fault).
Firstly noticed a rapid ticking coming from bottom of hot water storage tank, happens now and again but not frequently.
Secondly the Suprima seems to prepare itself for fire up every 5 mins although no call for hot water ie.clicks and green light turns amber and sometimes fires up. Thermostat for heating turned down and no water being used.
Seems to be on more than others in our steet, standing outside ours seems to be the only one working almost constantly although when it does fire up it's for less than a minute.
Are the two issues connected or have I just one problem or none at all?
Clueless on this thing altogether, had no say on it's installation or any idea how it works.

Your boiler is fine....the problem is external.

2/3 port valve is mu guess.

And the suprima is a good boiler......pcb aside. New boards much more robust
