Hi
I have a digistat RF2 (about 7 years old?). Around 2 (?) years ago they sent me replacement drawers which I installed and have worked well.

Over the last few months I have experienced intermittant 'fade out' of the screen and associated loss of signal. No battery warning symbal has ever appeared.

I find that squeezing the unit tightly (front and rear) brings back the signal. Usually this is temporary (a few minutes), but repeating the squeeze several times brings the unit back to full working condition. I then need to re-set time and temperatures.

Has my digistat simply neared the end of its life? Is there a poor connection inside? Is it a battery problem?

Thanks for any advice/suggestions.

replace the batteries and adjust the contacts in the bottom of the drawers so that they stick up slightly.

New batteries sorted it!

So much for the instructions that say a 'battery symbol' will appear a month before they expire.

The warning that batteries are about to expire is that...the symbols all fade and the unit stops working!
