Hi

I am having problems with the above controller. I have the instructions and have reset the times but its still not working correctly.

I have tried over riding the timings by turning up the temperature, the flame appears but the boiler is not turning on.

It will then come on randomly in the middle of the night.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Has it ever worked correctly or is this a newly installed digi?

If the latter, then it's wrongly wired - doubtless an electrically-qualified poster will be along soon.

Take the digi to wherever the Receiver is wired in (airing cupboard? near the cylinder?).When you turn up the digi and the flame comes on, does a red light flash a few times on the Receiver (indicating receipt of the wireless signal). And then does a green light come on (indicating switch-on of the pump and boiler)?

If no, the receiver is not receiving the signal.
If yes, but the pump/boiler do not come on, its a wiring problem.

The Digistat isn't new we have had it a few years and to be honest its always been problematic.

This evening, I have changed the battery and sync'd the transmitter with the receiver and its come on. But as its quite temperamental I won't know if its fixed for sure until at least tomorrow night.

Fingers crossed.

Having changed the battery last night the boiler came on and then went off today.

Ive tried increasing the temperature on the transmitter and using the over ride button on the receiver but neither trigger the boiler.

I am assuming that its broken but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also any suggestions on how to get the heating on how would be great as its freezing.

if you're any good with electrics you can check if it's sending out a switch live in the wiring centre. make sure it's all due on and the green light is on, you should have 240v on 3 connections - permanent live, live from the clock, switch live from the receiver - (the other connections would be neutral and earth), if you've got 240v on just 2 connections then it's a faulty receiver.
