I am not quite sure what you mean. The NTC is a device that monitors water temperature & provides the pcb with appropriate information. They do fail every now & then (but not that often). I would check the wiring & connections in the heater circuit then measure the resistance of the element and NTC against the values in the link. Another common problem is a fault on the heater relay (on the pcb). Post the machine service number if you require more specific information (85-- ---- ----).
