Hi,

I've inherited a 1999 sealed system which has been working fine. When we bought the house, a plumber gave me the opinion it was a well-installed system. In the past 2 weeks, it has developed two symptoms:

1. the hot water is sometimes discoloured (brownish) and a little cloudy - other times it's clear and fine;

2. the pressure gauge over the boiler used to read 1 bar cold and about 1.5 - 2 bar hot - now suddenly reads 3.2 when going full belt and about 2.6 when cold.

Nothing has been changed or fiddled with for at least 2 months (when a shower thermostat was changed). Any ideas?

Some details about the system:
> Ideal Mexico Super 3 boiler
> Santon Premier TP210B hot water tank
> filling loop valve undisturbed.

Your help appreciated,
regards
Martin
