Hi I need a little advice I have a indirect heating system and have removed all of the radiators and rehung new ones and now I want to remove all the pipe work and replace in ready for a new combi but still want to keep the old boiler heating water in the cylinder until it is replaced is it correct to tie up the valve on the f&e tank then drain the water from the pipe work and then cap off the pipe work just after the motorized valve then untie the f&e valve and let it fill the loop from the boiler to the cylinder is this correct thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, drain it down, cut and cap pipe after the motorised valve for heating. You will need to cap heating return pipe as well, before the tee where it run from cylinder return to boiler.

Make sure to switch off heating on programmer and turn down stat.

Daniel.
