Hi

We're getting a new kitchen installed on Monday, and will be spending the week taking out the current one. When it comes to the sink, I don't want to have to keep the mains supply off once we've taken the sink out.

Probably a very simply question, but can I fit the pipes with valves that will effectively seal off the pipes so we can have mains water elsewhere in the house?

Ta!

Cheers for the ultra speedy reply!! Am I gonna have to go looking in specialist shops for these things, or would a hardware/diy shop be likely to stock 'em?

Disagree.

If you are like me then turning water off completely is something you only want to do once. If you fit isolating valves to hot and cold then you can connect new sink to these - and they are always there when you need to replace a tap washer.

Cost a couple of quid from the sheds.

I agree with Davey, I'd fit isolators (didn't mention it earlier because I couldn't be bothered to write it all out).
