Disgrace

Looks to me like it was the plumbers that made the huge notch, so why is this in the Electrics forum?

BTW looks like someone's been sweeping up in the bikini-waxing parlour

Because the Electrician took great care in first fix by drilling holes in 5" x 2" joists on the nuetral axis in the zone 0.25 to 0.40 of span from end and three dias apart only for some butchers to come along and notch on top .

The Electrician was a bit miffed.

The lady who owns the house is a bit upset

EEGA, the local MP, a Housing Association and LABC are involved

I hope the dummy with the chain saw can be forced to pay for putting it right.

5 or 6 blokes fitted ch in one day on one of those grant thingies by Warm Front.

the morning after their visit the joists were viwed thus .

most joists at the front and most at the rear elevation. Only a few joists unaffected.

Seen one today where a similar job was done on a grant (The actual contractors used not known yet so it may be the same one`s or not).
Earth Bond clamps a disgrace, slack clamp, locknut slack, termination poor and not very secure.

Mind you I`ve seen others with no bonding at all or very substandard.

I`ve put the pic in the WIKI Hall of shame

Makes yer blood boil.
