I have a Beko dishwasher (DSFN 1534 S), about 18 months old, working perfectly up until now.

When I came down this morning, the bottom tray was full (about an inch) of water. I took out and cleaned the filters (they seemed fine), then put it through on a hot wash, but with the same result at the end - water in the bottom tray. I've checked that the outlet pipe isn't blocked, but now I'm stumped.

I have noticed that if I start a new programme, it sucks out the old water, so a temporary solution is to do a wash, then start a new one then immediately cancel it.

I'm really confused now - the outlet pipe isn't blocked, the filters aren't dirty and the pump obviously works.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

If water is not draining and as you have said cleaned all three filters (under tap) and checked no blockages or kinks in drain hose. I would then suspect the drain pump has either got a blockage of is malfunctioning.

If the drain hose connects under your kitchen or utility sink, make sure the hose goes down onto the spigot. If its horizontal or points up, you nay find the water is siphoning back to the dishwasher or water from the sink could back up near the u bend and end up in the base of the diswasher.

Also if the appliance is still drying it should have a small amount of water in the sump. Maybe the program is not finished and the door is being opened
