Dishwasher Plug

Hi, i have just been told that my dishwasher's Plug had the brown wire in Neutral and the blue wire in the live terminal. the dishwasher has been working perfectly well fro over a year. Is this possible?

It is perfectly possible but not safe. Change it at once!
