DIY emergency lighting and Part P

True but fitting one auto light may be worthwhile if only to find the torches and spare batteries. Batteries in torches seem to migrate to other things like toys and radios.
I have three of these located in strategic places around my house:
The (not-removable!) batteries are kept charged by the mains, and the (LED) torch switches on to full brightness in the event of mains power failure.
