Property from the 1950s. Down to the bare brickwork on two small walls either side of front door. Both have to be completely re-rendered and skimmed.Examining the old chunks of plaster reveals that they have small hairs in them. One walls comes into contact with another wall of conventional plaster, while the others runs ino this lime putty stuff.
My question is do I need to maintain the original type of plaster or will a conventional sand+cement+lime render suffice or even perhaps bonding? The area is small and the property is neither old nor a preservation.
