Guys,
Have a small wall to build this eve...its only ten inches wide(cavity wall 4" dense block)
But it will be seven feet high and will be supporting stuff above it.

The wall abutts another wall and i will be tying it to this with ties and plugs...do i need to lap the joints on the block work?...or can i just go 10",10",10" all the way up???...theres enough cutting as it stands be a lot more if i have to lap!
Cheers,
Marty.

you are adding a 10" piece of masonry to a cavity wall, and are using stainless steel connectors, yes?

if it were me i would be inclined to tooth out the existing wall and allow this new piece of wall to be bonded into the existing, as the addition is rather small.

also being cavity means it is rather vulnerable. maybe if it were a solid wall then you could just lay blocks both flat and upright , alternating between courses.

Cheers noseall will tooth it out altogether....should revive my tennis elbow nicely!!
Cheers,
Marty.
