Hey,
Been building a wall inside an existing garage wall the past few eves.(to make a cavity)
I want to tie the walls together @ a few points.
Obviously regular wall ties are no use as i cant bond them to existing wall.
I got these "L" shaped ties but when i went to use them realised the holes in them for masonary nails are too big and the head just goes straight through!!
Is there special washers for these nails(heads arent very flat on these nails)...or do i need to screw them in.
Wall going V well other than that!
Cheers,
Marty.

Think you find they are supposed to be screwed in place, that's how I use them

Cheers...was just thinking ive also loads of regular metre long wall straps @ home,
Could just bend them into L shapes and cut to size.....they already take a masonary headed nail fine.
How many ties per squar metre should i be putting in?
Thanks
Marty
