Hey Guys,

I know how to do some simple electronics, but I am planning to do some new work and plan to first test my idea in a simulator. I have played around with the free java breadboard simulator. I really like the interface and was wondering if there any other free, trials, or retail simulators that I can use. I would like something like the java one which you can see here http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/netpro/bboard/ you can run in the applet in the browser or download the zip. It's a neat software but doesn't seem to let you do projects with a 555 timer IC. Which is what I am after, I don't mind paying for the software if it's good. So if you know of any 30 day trials. I basically want to create a circuit and say if there is a buzzer in the circuit I would like to hear it on my PC speakers and if there is an LED in the circuit I would like to see it flash on screen. Do you know of anything like this which is easy to use?

Many thanks in advance

Hello, This might do what you want Yenka Electricity and Magnetism. I don't know how good it is since I have only used Crocodile Physics, which Yenka has replaced but should be able to still download Crocodile Physics. Which if I can remember (it was a very long time ago) has 555 timer, led's,lamps, psu, etc.
