Does this kind of lock exist?

Are the comments above referring to the same type of lock and if so, is it the type pictured in post #12? If so, that one seems to need a handle, which I definitely don't want.

It has the ability, but not a need, to fit a handle.

If you don't want to fit a handle, don't.

By chance, my old one, stamped "1989" recently suffered a broken return spring last week.

So I bought a new one, and will swap the Detainers from the old lock so keyholders don't need to change keys.

You can see the date stamp. In daily use for 37 years.
