I'm in a flat with one of those door entry system buzzer things. (Top floor flat) It is connected from the loft, wire comes through ceiling, and through a wall to the hand set. I'd like to bury the cable under the plaster (in conduit) but to do that I'd need to disconnect it and then reconnect it. Any ideas how I can do this?

Cheers

cut the wires off in your handset, leaving about 1 cm still attached, re route cable re connect it as it was (that's why you leave 1cm so you can see which colour goes where)

door entry systems are usually 12 v so its quite safe, but cut the wires 1 at a time

Alternatively get some galvanisied shielding, chase out your wall cover with the shielding and re-plaster, no need to cut your cables then.
