door latch gets stuck.

When opening the door, the latch gets stuck on the inside of the lock, it looks like it lifts up a little as soon as it goes past the flat plate and that's why it won't come out without wiggling it about.
I sprayed some WD40 in, but no luck.

gently tap the top of the latch with a hammer to bend the snib down a bit.

Your hinges may have worn or be loose , so door dropped slightly.
