Door Liners

Quick question for all you chippies out there.

When fixing a standard door liner, do you oik (yes that is a technical term) it off the floor a little to allow for floor covering. So as you don't need to trim down door when you 2nd fix. If so how much ?

i dont oik the frames mate,a standard door comes at 80" som i cut the legs of the casing at 80"and a quater so the door has a 20mm clearence gap at the bottom for the carpet/flooring paul
