Door question

I have recently replaced an interior door but have a problem.
When not closed it swings open but I want it to swing closed.
Can anyone tell me how to achieve this?

sounds as though it's hitting the door checks, try moving the hinges out a few mm.
or the hinges may be recessed too deep in which case you would need to pack them out a little.

when you try to close the door does it resist and try to open?if so could be hinge bound?or does it fall open on itself without any effort from you?if so it could be out of plumb?.
