A newly decorated room off of my landing now has 15mm soundproof mats fitted as underlay which will make the carpet higher than standard - the grippers around the room have been raised by about 8mm.

Will I need a new door threshold for this?

I have been unable to find one for carpet-to-carpet with one side higher than the other (I've only found ones for carpet-to-hard floors).

Thanks!

You could fit a 25mm solid timber threshold ramped down to 15mm, which would allow carpeting up to it from both sides.

Thanks! Looks like I need a small shim to give it a slope down towards the existing threshold. :)
