My existing felt has failed and i'm going to convert the cold roof to a warm roof, but after hours of googling i'm still no wiser on a couple of things.
1st being the vcl and the detail in which its is laid. Does the vcl wrap up and around the insulation and fixed to the top the insulation via tape for example, before the top layer of osb3 is applied if so does this apply to all edges of the insulation or should it be lapped under the sarking where the dormer joins the roof?
2nd being what would be the best method in closing off the dormer cavity inbetween joist to the main roof space to create an air tight space? Ceiling in dormer room is currently down so access is not a problem?
