Hi all,

I'm busy with the dot & dab on my bare blockwork walls and it's going well.

However, there are a couple of existing walls that already have been plastered and painted with emulsion that I'd like to dry line over as well.

Will the plasterboard adhesive stick to painted plaster or will I need to scratch it to give it a key?

The adhesive bag says it sticks to brick and blockwork but doesn't mention existing painted plaster.

Maybe a coat of pva would help?

TIA

Jever

I’d deffo scratch the paint off as much as poss where the dabs are, wouldn’t take the risk. PVA won’t help.
