Hi, does anyone know why I have a row of drain holes on the inside sill of the double glazed front door? I ask becasue i am getting a cold draught through them and i cannot see any reason for them being there.

Condensation or heavy rain (if the seal is not tight) drop to the bottom of the sill then drain out to external sill outside. The draught indicate seal might need renewing or the door need adjusting to apply more pressure onto the seal.

thanks Masona but i dont' understand why there is a drip channel on the inside of the sill. it is a white aluminium door with no condensation at all and the door opens inwards. Rain could never reach the inner surface of the door and there is a separate drain channel for the rain that hits the outer skin. The holes appear to vent straight under the sill to the outside air thus no seal is possible. I doubt if its a design fault but i wonder if i could just block the holes and see what happens. Any thoughts?
