Im having new windows fitted, the front bays will have leaded tops and the rears were to be clear, however Ive decided to have these lead at the top too. Dont think it would be too much in terms of looks?

Another option is laminated glass, but it works out at £640 for french doors and the panes on one side. Would it be better to put this towards a decent alarm system. Only thought of laminate as neighbour has been burgled in the past where a brick was put through the rear window, they had no alarm.

Also I have the option of A rated frames/glass, but this is another £300 odd quid. Is it worth it?

Your views would be greatly appreciated.

Another option is handles, which are plain white, chrome (not so plain) or period handle in a black finish. These are not cheap by a long way and the period fetaures look nice but would black suit a 1920s house or just look wrong? Ive sen it in a georgian property an did look different.
