I have a walk in shower & am guessing the tray is acrylic rather than ceramic by the feel of it. Just wondering which of the above would be better for resealing it? Think I read 785+ isn't suitable for plastic as might be adhesion problems but would love an expert's view thanks

I have never had any problem using the non neutral cure version with acrylic trays. IIRC, you should not use neutral cure silicone with porous stone tiles though.

I believe that rather than adhesion with acrylic, the potential issue is the 785+ might discolour/etch the acrylic. I have never experienced that.

That's good to know thank you. Who would have thought the world of silicone could be so complex!

I guess the manufacturers need to provide caveats for all eventualities. I have tiled 30+ bathrooms, many of which had acrylic basins or shower trays. I haven't experienced any problems with the acetic acid versions.
