Hi Im adding a small porch on the back of my house which is just basically an L shape to create it. I'm going to do a concetre floor but not sure how to join the dpm to the old and new dpc.
I can mortar it in the new dpc easy enough but not the old dpc (1940's).

Is it ok to just let the dpm go up the sides past the dpc all round and not actually mortar it in?
