We have possible drain problems at our house.
The local rumour is that when the houses were built (1992), the ground works contractors tied their horses up each morning before starting work!
The out come is that the undergroud drainage is set deep ( 5 ft down) , and various neighbours have found underground pipes not connected up etc.
So I want to get our pipes checked out for faulty connections/ breakages. With this years heavy rain, soil keeps vanishing down holes and rats keep appearing.
I've just been let down by a third drainage company who I booked to carry out a survey of the drains ( they just don't turn up!). So is it a DIY job?
I can hire the kit, but are breaks/ misalligments easy to spot?
Should I just get a ground works contractor to survey and repair as needed?
