drain test disaster

i am tying to set up a drain test for a building control officer coming this week for final inspection and as usual the house is completely finished . I cannot for the life of me get the test to hold, the underground has all passed, it is like an open end. The problem i have is that the builder has boxed everything in and refused to purchase access points at the bottom of the stacks of which there are 4. I am at breaking point and the builder is no help at all

Nothing is springing to mind other than installing the access points you wanted, but this isn't so straighforward now it's all fixed into place. Pity noone has invented a slip coupling version, which would be a feasable solution if only it existed

Whose problem is it are you the houseowner -plumber who did the stack - subby to the builder. I have genuine sympathy for you if you really are @ your wits end . But revenge can only be taken if you are in a fault free position. For example . Bung the underground section and put a full stack water test on That`ll show up the leaks - and get the builder pulling off the boxings

had to cheat it but what can you do when you are not there to see what goes on when you are off site. you all know what i mean

Do a water test. Plug off drai and fill to the lowest pan. You will prove the drain and can then air test above.
Most likely problem is a badly assembled trap.
