Hi there..

So attached are some pictures of our concrete courtyard.. its ugly, its un-even and gets quite little sunlight being a mid terrace and we want to give it an over haul... We are looking at lifting the concrete and putting down gravel with maybe a centre circle small slab area.

My question is, when I lift the concrete am I ok without putting in any sort of drainage against the brick wall?? I only ask as my parents had a new patio laid recently and with it they had drainage installed along the main brick wall. Im assuming this is because its a solid surface and the gravel would allow water to drain away without any guidance needed???

Thanks
