Hi,
I would like to lay a patio in my back garden-around 17 square metres.
The drainage for our current patio is very poor.
I would like the patio to slope away from the house-enter a gully type drain.

It's from this point forward I am unsure what to do. What options do I have to install a drainage system. I was told a soak away might work but I do live in a clay area. However one part of the garden next to a reasonably large tree the soil is very good.

Can anyone please suggest any ideas for possible drainage solutions?

(There is no existing drainage I can put it in to. Unsure where the pipework for the down pipe goes)

Thanks

if the rainwater already drains into the sewage lines, and changes are made, does this mean the changes have to be routed elsewhere?
