Hi, I’m building a partition wall to make a large single room into two rooms. This involves moving a radiator and adding a new one. First job was remove the existing radiator… Drained the system and then cut the 15mm feed and return pipes to the radiator below floor board and capped these off. Refilled system and bled all radiators. Now when I set the CH thermostat to call for heat, the pump comes on but the boiler does nothing. It's a gas fired Baxi Solo that heats both the CH and the HW. Switching the hot water on manually doesn’t do anything either. The pilot light doesn't seem to be on, but it's got automatic ignition and I can't hear it sparking. It's like the boiler is dead! There are three warning lights to indicate any errors, but all are off.
Any ideas on this as we have no heating and no hot water. Just thought I'd try this tonight. If no reply tomorrow I guess it's call in the professionals!

Is the Baxi solo a sealed system. :?:

If so try refilling it to the correct pressure as per your handbook.

As the problem has only occurred since you drained down I suspect the pressure or lack of water in your system is the cause of your problem. :D

Kev will be around soon, see what he thinks :D
