I wish to move a radiator downstairs and to do this I will have to drain the heating system, I have a back boiler in the lounge. In my old house the boiler was in the kitchen so I would just isolate the small tank in the loft and drained the system via a drain cock afterwards refill and bleed.

Basically is it the same procedure with a back boiler?

Thanks

Yes, should be the same procedure. If the rads are on seperate drops you will need to drain via the one you want to move.

The draincock may be on the end of the primary return pipe, outside the opening
